Is it normal to feel dizzy and sick after an upper eyelid surgery?

Patients may feel lightheaded or dizzy immediately following an eyelid surgery, which typically is related to anesthesia and medications administered during the surgery. However, dizziness beyond the initial recovery period is not considered normal. You should seek medical attention for ongoing symptoms and discomfort. A board certified plastic surgeon can best advise on your recovery. 

It is not normal to be dizzy after eyelid surgery, especially after 4 months. Please discuss with your ps and you may want to seek the help of a neurologist. It is very likely not related to your procedure.

Thank you for your question. Some patients may feel uneasy and tired immediately after surgery, but the dizziness you are feeling is much less likely to occur after 4 months. I suggest that you discuss your recovery in depth with your board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Doubtful that prolonged dizziness is due to upper eyelid surgery unless you feel as though one eye or the other has lost some visual acuity or you are experiencing double vision. See your primary care doctor first, then either an eye doc or an ENT.
