hi im 36 and wondering if im 2 young to have a mini lift i have allways had big full cheeks but as im gettinh older they are drooping i am having my nose done on a few months as it was broken and was thinking of asking about my bottom half of face not interested in fillers as it does not solve the issue and costs a lot of money ongoing would love honest opinions thank you
Answer: Mini Facelift & Mini neck lift -- FaceTite RF for internal skin tightening + Neck Liposuction for definition/contouring FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: A Short Scar Facelift is usually the best option for sagging jowls/neck and most patients find it very worth it A mini facelift is a great option for many people. The recovery & downtime is very minimal. There are usually no drains, most people can go out the same day, you can shower the next day, there're no scars behind the ears and you can wear your hair up anytime and most patients take no pain medicine. The result is usually the same in selected patients as a full scar facelift but it really depends on your exam.Surgery is not for everyone. In today's day and age, there are many nonsurgical options to consider although surgery usually gets the most improvement specifically of the neck and jowls.I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of mini facelifts and neck lifts but also offers all the nonsurgical options such as injectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations. I hope this helps and thanks for your question.

Answer: MACS Mini-Facelift May Be An Option For You Riley. You are a bit young, but It sounds like you may be a candidate for a Mini-Facelift. My favorite technique is the MACS short scar Mini-Facelift. Developed in Europe, it is the ideal approach for the younger patient, not ready for a full facelift, or patients who desire a less invasive procedure with a shorter recovery time. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to explore all options for you. Good luck.

Answer: A facelift at 36 Thank you for your question. It brings up a very important point. Many plastic surgeons, who specialize in facelifts, recently started to move away from using patients' age as a selection criteria for a facelift. Often times early aging changes, such as sagging cheeks and facial skin laxity, begin at an early age and become quite bothersome to the patients. Many people today choose to get a facelift in their 30s rather than wait until the signs of facial aging become more noticeable. A relatively small minimally invasive facial rejuvenation procedure, such as mini facelift, can reverse early signs of age on one's face with minimal downtime and with very few risks. To determine weather a mini facelift is the right procedure for you, I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a facelift specialist.Best wishes!Dr. K.

Answer: Midface Your concerns are the descent of your malar fat pad. There are several ways to address this. You could have a mini lift with a high SMAS technique that will address the midface, lower face (jowls) and neck. Or you could have a midface lift which would involve only small incisions in your temple area. This would not address your lower face but then again at 36, you shouldn't need much of a facelift.
