I have 1 milia in my eyes and i want to remove this .
Answer: Facial excision Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. This could be excised under local anesthesia. Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Milia On Eyelid Thank you for your post - that looks like a small cyst along the eyelid margin. Removing a growth / mole near to the eye or along the edge of the eyelid requires expert care. Seek out a board certified, fellowship trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon -- an expert that can work precisely and safely near the eyeball. I have had patients travel from around the country to have me treat them for this kind of challenging removal - especially after they were turned away by dermatologists, general plastic surgeons, and family doctors. I have removed thousands of moles from around peoples eyes throughout my career. Unless the cyst/mole is cancerous or in someway dangerous to you, insurance does not cover mole removals. Typically costs are approximately $750-$1250 depending on how involved the procedure will be. If you are interested, you can certainly contact my office. Best wishes. Damon B. Chandler, MD Harvard-Penn Trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Cyst on lid margin Cysts of the eyelids come in various sizes and varieties, and may or may not be covered by insurance. Small cysts may be removed under local anesthesia in an office setting. Your cyst is relatively small and will respond nicely to treatment with minimal risk to the eyelashes. The estimate in my area is $325 +/-. Best wishes.
