There haven't been any studies on Coolsculpting and pregnancy, but it is unlikely this treatment will have a negative impact on your pregnancy. I recommend following up with your OB/GYN about your concerns. Best, Dr. Emer
In my opinion, having a CoolSculpting treatment on the lower abdomen while being two months pregnant, should not affect your baby. CoolSculpting only affects the fat just below the skin and would not affect your uterus. It is generally not recommended to have any unnecessary medical treatments or medications while pregnant, just to be on the safe side.
CoolSculpting treats the fat layers under the skin so this should have no impact on your pregancy. Having said that CoolSculpting is not permitted for pregnant women. There has been no harm done so you should feel less concerned. All the best with your pregnancy, this is an exciting time !
Congratulations on the pregnancy! I do not think you need to worry. The device only freezes the fat that is in the treatment cup and would not get even close to getting to the uterus. Dr. Quenby Erickson
I don't think you have to worry about having had a CoolSculpting treatment not knowing you are pregnant. Coolsculpting uses freezing technology to destroy fat cells and does not emit any laser light. Also the treatment does not reach the uterus but only the superficial fat. Please enjoy your pregnancy.
Hi queen07,While it is true that we defer aesthetic treatments during pregnancy, we don't have any evidence that the fetus will suffer from the procedure. However, CoolSculpting is a "stress" on the body that may affect the fetal heartbeat so see you obstetrician so your pregnancy can be monitored. All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
Coolsculpting has not been tested on pregnant women as this sort of testing would be unethical. However this doesn't mean your fetus has necessarily been effected, since Coolsculpting targets your subcutaneous fat and does not penetrate past that. However you should follow up with your Doctor to be on the safe side.
The thermal error just means that the temperature was not ideal for the entire treatment or the treatment area. As long as you go the correct temperature for 1 hour, you will get a good result. My best, Sheila Nazarian
Thank you for your question and congratulations on your pregnancy! As far as I am aware of, fat freezing should not have negatively affected your pregnancy.
The distribution of the fat may be different on the right side and the applicator may not be able to grab enough tissue, and hence you are seeing thermal event. 1. Examine the area carefully to see if there is enough subcutaneous fat. 2. Newer applicators may not grab...
