Is a two month recovery time enough for lipo?

I usually tell my patients that they don't have any physical restrictions at 6 weeks after surgery. For you to be "fully recovered," it's going to be closer to about 3 months after surgery. That's for all of the bruising and swelling to go away, for you not to experience any more aches or pains, and for you to feel as good as you do right now. In your case, if you are getting just Liposuction 360, I would say that it is safe to begin basic training at that point. You may still have some swelling and twinges of pain here and there, but you will be more than 7 weeks post-op by the time basic training begins. Hope you get some fantastic results!

After six weeks you can return to strenuous activity, but you are not fully healed. You will likely experience soreness and swelling as you resume your prior workout routine. Additionally it is best to go slowly and build back up to your previous activity level. In basic training you will likely be performing strenuous activities on a regular basis. It's best to speak with your surgeon, but you may want to postpone your surgery.
