Hi & thanks for your question! It is not likely that the surgeon placed the wrong implants, but it could happen. Contact your surgeon for the size used for your surgery. Best wishes!
Dear Terrific227246,it is unlikely that you got the wrong size of implants. You should get a card with the size of your implants. If you have any concerns, I would suggest discussing them with your plastic surgeon. I will talk to her surgeon, however they likely gave you the implant cards that were associated with the implants that they placed. There should be a specific identification number that was associated with each implant that were put in your breast every implant has one of these cards.
It is unlikely but not impossible. The implants come with a card that contains the size and type of implant. If your surgeon hasn't given it to you it should be in your records. I encourage you to speak to your surgeon about your concerns.
It is unlikely that your plastic surgeon put in the wrong size implant. Ask him/her about it. You can also ask for a copy of implant card containing information regarding the size/type of implant used.Best of luck!
Your doctor would have given you the card that went with the size that was used if you had gel implants. If you got saline implants, the bag could be filled to a range, but that range would have been noted by the nurse and your surgeon. Go look at your before photos. Remember, this is the size that you and your surgeon selected.
Hi and welcome to our forum!During the procedure of breast augmentation, it is routine practice for the surgeon and assistants to call out the volume as the saline is added to the implant in 60 cc increments. The information is immediately recorded. The volume of saline introduced into your implants should be on your "implant card" which is usually given to the patient at the termination of the procedure. If a card is not available, you should be able to retrieve this information from the facility in which the procedure was performed. It would be extremely unusual for an implant to be mis-filled. If your breasts are presently symmetric, it would be extremely rare for both implants to be mis-filled!Best wishes...
