Will a round 2 BBL fix the indentions I developed after my BBL? (Photos)

Question

I’m 1 year PO from 360 Lipo/BBL. Im 37 150lbs. I have 2 idents (Hip Dips?) as a result. Dr says it’s due to my skin laxity. He injected 1900cc into left cheek (worse indent) and 1500 in right cheek. We’re discussing a revision by doing thigh/arm lipo to correct. I’m worried it will not work and I’ve wasted time and money. Any advice?

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. BAsed on your photos, it looks like you would need BBL revision in order to improve your results. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Your outcome is puzzling. Almost all the fat died and dissipated after your bbl.  that makes me think that the technique used for grafting was an appropriate. perhaps too much fat was injected into small single areas rather than stratifying the grafted fat evenly throughout different tissue layers.

You didn’t have significant skin laxity in your preop pictures so skin laxity should not be an issue for your postop uneven contour.

I think it has more to do with how the fat survived which is directly related to how the procedure was performed.

To differentiate skin laxity from underlying subcutaneous fat pull up on the skin above the area of concern. If pulling on the skin making a tight completely fixes the problem the skin laxity may be contributing. If pulling on the skin does not change the contour very much then skin is not the culprit.

It’s up to you if you choose to go to the same provider or opt to get a second inpersonal opinion from another plastic surgeon.

When things aren’t done right the first time I question if surgeons have the skill to do a revision work which tends to be more difficult than primary body contouring.

At the same time all plastic surgeons occasionally have procedures and results that didn’t turn out the way we had hoped and revisions are simply part of this type of work.  everyone has some revision rate or at least should.

Most plastic surgeons typically encourage patients to follow up with their own surgeon since that person is ultimately responsible for the outcome of the procedure.

The choice is yours.
