seroma is a common complication of tummy tuck. I have also had patients who have developed seroma in the upper abdomen after a tummy tuck. treatment of seroma after a tummy tuck requires aspiration with a needle which can be done by most general or urgent care doctors, if you can not have access to your plastic surgeon.

Unfortunately seromas happen and are part of doing surgery sometimes. 50cc is a small seroma . What you are probably feeling is the mature space that the fluid was present in . I would recommend giving it time and wear your binder an extended period to help keep the area closed down.

Sorry to hear about your problems.  It is definitely difficult to manage post-op issues by remote control.  You should talk to your Miami surgeon about options.  I have had many patients from out of town have surgery here and arranged for follow-up elsewhere.  If it feels like there's fluid sloshing around, you may have another small seroma or hematoma (blood collection).  The seroma would drain easily, but a hematoma becomes like Jello and cannot be removed with just a needle until it liquefies.  You may need to go back for another follow-up.  Don't worry about the hardening; it may never occur. 

You demonstrate one of the problems of out of town surgery. Your own surgeon would not likely have charged for these after surgery visits and aspirations. 

Regular follow up visits can prevent minor problems from becoming major ones, and it is not likely that you can identify issues by yourself. All the best.
