Thank you for your picture, and great question! The truth is this - you look great. Whether or not you need any procedures is not for me to decide, but for us to come to a clear consensus. Buccal fat reduction, what it can do, is give more contour to your cheeks and soften the "baby face" that you are concerned with. To get an idea of what you could accomplish with this, gently suck your cheeks in until they just touch your teeth. You may like this change, or you may not, but it will give you an idea of what you can expect to see. The other important thing to note is that as you get older, you will lose some volume in your face and this has to be taken into account - look good now trading off volume loss as you get older. Best of luck! I hope some of this helps.
Buccal fat removal is the plastic surgery procedure that removes the fullness of the anterior lower cheek to achieve a less round more chiseled facial look.Achieving a less "baby face" with plastic surgery procedures depends on what the definition of "baby face" is for the patient. In these kind of cases it is recommended to make a consultation with a plastic surgeon to determine the patient goals .
Hi and thanks for the question. Your face is perfect. Don't mess with it. You will lose facial volume as you get older and you'll be regretting it later if you have unnecessary work done. If you would truly benefit from a procedure, I would suggest it. I can't. You look great. Best of luck, Doctor Vallecillos, MD, FACS, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Hi. Thank you for your question. You could benefit from a buccal fat removal procedure. Although I do not necessarily think you need anything done, with your concern, I think buccal fat removal would satisfy your desire to have a slimmer and less "baby face" look. It is a simple procedure that is performed under local anesthesia with small incisions inside the mouth to remove fat pads that give your face a fuller look. I recommend seeing a Board Certified plastic surgeon and exploring all of your options. Best of luck to you.
Thanks for your question! Buccal fat removal doesn't take 3-4 minutes. I don't know anyone who does it that fast and frankly- I don't think you'd want it done that fast. The procedure is relatively simple for a well trained facial surgeon but one that does carry risk. The...
The movement of the corners of the mouth is secondary to the activity of the facial expression muscles. However, the anatomy of the face ( bones, soft tissue etc) could affect the movement of those muscles. Also aging affects the corners of the mouth . In aging patients treatment of the muscles ...
Dear Stephanieochoa1,Thank you for your question. I think it is a little unusual to leave the Buccal Fat incision open. Putting a few stitches in to close the incision will help hasten the recovery. The logic behind leaving the incision open probably lies with the fact that there may potentially...
