It seems like this is a lateral brow lift and a blepharoplasty. This is common to do and safe if done by an experienced board certified plastic surgeon. However, it is not always needed. I would discuss this with your plastic surgeon to make sure you understand the anticipated results before doing them together. Essentially less eyelid skin excision is needed if the brow lift is done, but the brows should not be lifted higher than a normal position to lessen the need for skin excision to prevent the eys and brow from being out of balance and natural looking.

It is common that upper lid blepharoplasty is performed in conjunction with either a temporal/ or coronal brown lift . I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS and schedule in person exam

A pretrichial brow lift combined with upper lid blepharoplasty is a well established, safe procedure. That being said, the procedure does provide a drastic change in eyelid appearance and overall eyelid structure.  You have to ask yourself if this is what you are interested in getting. To make sure that your goals are well understood, you should speak with a physician who performs the procedure and can show you before and after photos of people who looked like you before their procedure. By doing this you can judge what you will look like after the surgery is completed. As always, be sure to discuss the risks of the surgery with your surgeon as well as how to minimize those risks.

Thank you for your question. Yes, a temporal brow lift is a common procedure that can be combined with an upper eyelid blepharoplasty. There are several different ways to perform temporal brow lifts. Some involve incisions behind the hairline and some involve incisions in front of the airline. I recommend seeing an ASOPRS trained oculoplastic surgeon for a consultation. Best of luck!

After looking at the before and after I like the before.Beauty is in the ey of the beholder.But a temple lift is possible with or without an upper lid bleph. 

Hi Greetings from the UK! It sounds like your surgeon is talking about a pretrichial brow lift. Yes it's pretty safe and well tolerated. One just needs to be careful when dissecting around the tail of the eyebrow for fear of damaging one of the branches of the facial nerve but overall it's a pretty safe commonly performed procedure. Ensure that you use lots of anti scarring silicone gel afterwards to optimise the potential scar appearance. Good luck. Best WishesDavid
