Hi, TSpeakman. I am really sorry about your diagnosis of MS. I can only imagine how difficult that has been. Regarding, whether you would potentially be a candidate for breast or butt implants, I would offer the following thoughts:First, I would recommend having a discussion with your physician that manages your MS, to assess whether you are stable enough for elective surgery, or not. Additionally, I would suggest inquiring what degree of risk there might be in potentiating the progression of your MS symptoms or complications with such a surgery. Additionally, depending on your current symptom set and neurological status, you might require closer monitoring and support in the post-operative period, which would may having surgery in a hospital setting rather than an ambulatory or office setting. Regarding buttock implants, I personally would recommend against if I was consulting with a patient with MS. Since there is an unknown possibility of mobility impairment with MS, the presence of bittock implants could invrease the risks of decubitus formation or their presence could result in worsened complications should a decubitus develop. Best of luck to you, should you decide to proceed with surgery. And I hope that you are able to keep the MS controlled and without flares, regardless of whether you have surgery. Dr. Ghafoori
