New lines appeared under eyes after Restylane in tear trough area Can this be removed w/ an enzyme filler or does it settle?

Question

Yesterday I received restalyn under my eyes and Voluma in my cheeks. Also just a little restalyn I think it was in my Nasolabial folds. My concern is that prior to getting the filler in my tear troughs, I did not have these little lines under my eyes. Is this something that I will need to get removed with the enzyme filler, or does it still need time to settle? I didn’t notice it until I left the office.

Hi @alipatmomo14. It takes a few days to see the final result after dermal filler injections. If you are unhappy with the results after two weeks, you can dissolve the filler with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Filler will naturally swell over the first few days after injection before settling and smoothing down. I recommend waiting two weeks before deciding on any additional injections or reversing the filler. Hope this helps!

It takes a few days to see the final result from a filler injection. If you are unhappy with the filler once it "settles" or if you notice any blue discoloration, I recommend you see your injector or physician as soon as possible. Hyaluronic acid based fillers can be dissolved.  Hope this helps.

Restylane immediately draws in fluid so your end result will not be evident for at least 2-3 days and as long as 2 weeks for some.  So no worries!  Restylane has an amazing ability to settle and most initial concerns go away. Hope you love your results!

Since you just received your fillers, I would definitely be a little more patient and wait at least 2 weeks until everything settles down. Hey there, thanks for your question. Sometimes so soon after filler under the eye area, there can be a lot of swelling, which causes excess lines and creases to be seen. This should usually resolve once the swelling subsides, but if it does not in a few weeks, the enzyme hyaluronidase can certainly be used to dry and dissolve the filler and see if this improves your symptoms.
