When having a micro needling treatment, does deeper penetration that induces pinpoint bleeding stimulate more collagen than a more superficial treatment?

Yes, deeper penetration allows for more collagen production. With mircroneedling, I suggest a combination of erbium laser,PRP, and sculptra for collagen, rather then microneedling alone. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. Yes, pinpoint bleeding will allow anti-aging gel to penetrate deeper for an enhanced result. Patients will have greater collagen stimulation. The depth of treatment to yield a result will vary depending on the thickness of the treated skin. It is best to consult with an experienced plastic surgeon.

Yes, for ultimate skin rejuvenation its best that the needles penetrate through the dermis.  This is where collagen is made and aging happens.  Stimulating this layer with the needles will stimulate collagen formation and skin rejuvenation.  Add a little PRP too!
