What is the general recovery time of lip augmentation using injectable fillers? I will definitely not be getting anymore than one syringe, as I don't want to over do it.
Answer: Lip Swelling after fillers Lips can swell after fillers. The degree of swelling depends on the individual plus a couple of other factors. For most patients a day or two is all they will need to feel comfortable, especially with one syringe of filler. The biggest thing that you can do to reduce your swelling is to reduce your salt intake for 3 days before your first treatment,and watch your salt the first day after your treatment. The more salt you take in, the more water your body holds onto-resulting in more swelling. I generally recommend not taking any aspirin or advil, motrin, etc for two weeks before your treatment to help minimize bruising.

Answer: Recovery time for lip filler Most patients swell at least 2 days but rarely more than a week. If you use a thinner filler such as Volbella then it is not hydrophillic and does not pull water in as does the older fillers.
