I just want to fully understand how many CC affect lips in different ways. I have had multiple Procedures and i understand that the projected final procedure should finalize the results even further.
Answer: Lip Hello and thank you for your question. The answer depends on the amount of volume your natural lips have and then on the type of volume you would like to have. On Average, every girl requires 1-2 syringes of product to achieve their desired look. Occasionally I need to use 3 syringes. This is a gradual process and I never inject more than 2 syringes in any one visit. Perfect example is Kylie Jenner lips, which took 4 syringes of product and 2-3 sessions to achieve. There are 5 fillers from Juvederm Family and 5 from Restylane Family and they are all different in terms of their thickness, longevity and flexibility. Also, 1 cc of product equals to 1/5 of a teaspoon. Basically 5 syringes is only 1 teaspoon of a product. I hope this helps. The best thing is to find an expert physician who can answer your questions during consultation. Also, always bring in a picture of lips you like or would like to have. There are many things one looks for in nice lips, (overall shape, cupid's bow, fullness and enhancement, etc.). This can be done with injectable fillers. Our office likes the Hyaluronic Acid injectables for the lips, (Juvederm Ultra XC, Restylane-L, Vobella XC, Belotero, etc.). Each has pros and cons, and the procedure must be individualized to your lips. This includes the amount and placement of the injectable. Please don't over do it. Please go to an experienced, well trained injector. Price depends on the city, and who is injecting, (Physician, Nurse, PA, etc.). Remember that cheap gets expensive fast. Most Doctors start with one injection to avoid over-filling. Results take 1-2 weeks and then a touch-up can be performed if more volume is desired. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. PDO Nova threads can also be used to improve shape and provide lift. Fat or implants are an alternative.
