If it will help, how much of a difference will I see? Will I look normal, with no signs of bags, or is this too much to hope for? I already know that creams and make-up do not help. I've tried everything. I am 42, have been cursed with bags my whole life, and they only get worse.
Answer: Fat bags lower lids You would do well with a fat repositioning blepharoplasty. From the inside of the lid the fat is moved down into the sunken area. This makes for a smooth transition from cheek to lid. See an oculoplastic surgeon to discuss.

Answer: I have huge, ugly under eye bags that exacerbate my already unattractive looks. Will surgery help me? Most expert experienced artistic plastic surgeons have a variety of procedures, both non-surgical and surgical, at their disposal to produce excellent cosmetic results in the appropriately selected patient: Botox or Dysport, temporary fillers, micro-fat grafts, blepharoplasties, or a combination of procedures. Each has benefits and drawbacks and depends on desired outcome and individual anatomy. Following the advice of anyone who would presume to tell you what to do without seeing photos and without taking a full medical history, examining you, feeling and assessing your tissue tone, discussing your desired outcome and fully informing you about the pros and cons of each option would not be in your best interest. Find a plastic surgeon that you are comfortable with and one that you trust and listen to his or her advice. The surgeon should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: I have huge, ugly under eye bags that exacerbate my already unattractive looks. Will surgery help me? A special procedure called fat repositioning or fat grafting associated with arcus marginalis release can plump the depression beneath your lower eyelids and remove some of the protruding fat. In addition adding volume to the mid face or cheek region by using dermal filler injections would also help. For more information read the following link on trans-conjunctival blepharoplasty with arcus marginalis release and fat grafting.

Answer: Lower eyelid surgery In addition to the protruding fat in your lower eyelids, you have flat cheeks which makes the problem worse. A combination of repositioning (not removing) the fat in your lower eyelids and augmenting your cheeks (again, with your own fat) will help blend your lower eyelid and cheek and create a soft, smooth appearance.
