What are the fast recovery advises after Chin Liposuction?

Just had my chin lipo this morning and I have a meeting to go tomorrow, I cannot wear the strap... Any speed up advances?i will stand all day and night on ice if it helps

Usually the chin strap will stay on and off for 3 weeks.  In the first 2 days, I usually recommend using the compression 24/7. When the work week begins, patients can use it 12 hrs on and 12 hrs off.  You need to contact your Plastic Surgeon for his recommendations for your post op care.  I do not recommend prolonged use of Ice as it may cause frost injuries since the skin will be numb from the procedure.   Best wishes.

I suggest all my patients to wear the neck compression 24 hours a day for 3-5 days after the procedure.  To speed up healing, you can try hyperbaric oxygen and venus legacy radiofrequency treatments however, time is really what you need most.  Best, Dr. Emer.

You can not speed up the recovery.  The fastest way to an uneventful recovery is to follow the aftercare instructions word for word and follow up with your plastic surgeon.  Short cuts during your recovery will only prolong the healing process.

There is no way to speed up recovery after surgery. There are a few things that can be done before and during the procedure to minimize postoperative swelling and bruising. These include not using over-the-counter pain medication, such as ibuprofen or aspirin, the week before the procedure. Also, avoiding fish oil supplements can help minimize bruising.There are a few things the surgeon can do as well during the procedure. These include using tumescent solution meticulously and waiting a sufficient amount of time after placing the tumescent solution before beginning the liposuction.I personally put less importance on the use of compression garments. I ask my patients to wear a compression garment after chin and neck liposuction for 48 hours. After that, they can wear them at night only.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
