im scheduled for buccal fat in a month, the surgeon told me I would benefit from it im just looking for a second opinion, I have read reviews, and I guess buccal fat wont help get rid of jawline fat, should I consider jawline liposuction? Thank you in advanced
Answer: Buccal fat pad reduction and botox to masseter muscle slims the lower face Thanks for sharing. I feel to achieve your goals of a more v shaped face, buccal fat pad reduction and botox to the masseter muscle would be appropriate. Of course an in person exam is required to make a definitive diagnosis and treatment plan.

Answer: Double Chin Treatment / Jawline /Laxity-- SmartLipo/VASER/ThermiRF, Botox, Venus Legacy, Kybella I treat this everyday in my practice. You may be a surgical candidate but you do not need surgery for improvement. Properly performed liposuction with energy based devices and physical fat removal will do fantastic to remove the fat, lift the skin, and contour the jawline and give a better taper. I have a significant number of patients who come in from Korea and china for this procedure. I pretreat everyone with Botox or Dysport before surgery to relax the neck muscles, allowing for better retraction of the skin after surgery. Then after treatment we do skin tightening with Venus Legacy to improve the results and decrease the neck swelling. I suggest you only see an expert for treatment of this area as a meticulous surgeon is required to get great results and complications in this area can be devastating both medically and cosmetically. A new medication that is used to remove chin fat with injections called Kybella may also be an option, as it secondarily allows for skin tightening/lifting as well. A formal consultation is needed to determine what are the best options for you. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Treatment of a round face Procedures that typically treat round faces include facial liposuction, buccal fat reduction, jaw reduction with Botox and bone surgery. Prior to embarking on any of these treatments, with the exception of jaw reduction with Botox, a carefully set out analysis and plan should be put in place. This is not the type of procedure you want to undergo unless you are in the hands of someone truly talented. Permanent disfigurement is a risk if not done correctly. Facial nerve damage has been reported with facial liposuction. The chance of this can be decreased substantially by using careful technique, small liposuction cannulas and the surgeon being intimate with facial anatomy. Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.

Answer: Round face By removing buckle that you will only increase the dumpling that you have in your cheeks. The full roundness of your cheek will not be affected. Other than for radical bony alteration of the face there is little that can be offered.

Answer: You are correct Buccal fat pad removal is limited in its effect.Your photo does not show the facial bone structure well so consider altering the boney contours as well if you want definition and tapering appearances. Llipo of the face has to be well done to prevent the over emphasis of possible stronger bone contours.
