Combining microneedling with IPL foto facial, what is the down time?

My understanding is .5mm microneedles can be used 2 weeks after Botox, and 4 weeks after fillers .... What about IPL fotofacial? How soon after a fotofacial can you microneedle? And how much time should you wait before getting a fotofacial after microneedling with .5mm?

Microneedling will start initiating collagen remodeling and growth immediately. However, it takes 180 days for full remodeling to occur and you should start seeing scar remodeling in 3-4 months.Dr H Karamanoukian#RealSelf100 Member

Microneedling will increase local microvscular tissue changes which increase erythema (redness) during the healing phase. Good skin care and sun protection is important in the healing phase. Dr H Karamanoukian#RealSelf100 Member

Hi @tatsok1! Microneedling with PRP can be performed very closed to the lash line if the eyelid is pulled away from the eyeball. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Thank you for your question. It is not known exactly when it is safe to have microneedling performed after dermal fillers have been injected. I typically wait a few weeks just to be ssfe. Good luck.
