Does microneedling leave a red area on the edges of the scars?

Question

I have some scars due to chicken pox. I had many treatments of microneedling & I have started seeing good results but I have one big scar on my forehead that have turned redish on the edges but in the middle it actually has the same color of the skin. What I wanted to know is that normal and is that color going to go or not?

We have been doing microneedling in my practice for over one year.  As the skin repairs itself from the microscopic injuries caused during the microneedling process it may be slightly pink. Microneedling will increase the circulation and improve the texture of the scars. It is very important to protect your skin from the sun during this process.

Redness usually will fade over the next few weeks. My suggestion is to back off any treatment that my traumatise your skin for say 4-6 weeks. I had attached a link on how easy it is to treat chicken pox scars. I do perform micro needling, but I think energy micro needling using the INFINI is much better than old fashioned non - energy based devices.
