Hello,Thank you for your question. Though it is unusual, if a seroma/fluid pocket, persists long enough it may form a capsule around it and require removal. More often, drainage and consistent compression enable a seroma to resolve shortly after developing. All the best
The normal is NOT to develop seroma, so there is not such thing of developing a capsule after a Tummy Tuck, because the entire skin flap gets re-attached to the abdominal wall with fibrosis, no capsule.Be encouraged.Dr. Cardenas
Thank you for sharing your question. If a seroma persists for a long enough period of time, it can form a surrounding capsule of scar tissue that requires a revision surgery to remove. I would speak with your surgeon to get the best advice for your specific situation.

Hello I recommend you stay for at least 2 weeks. To attend your appointments with you plastic surgeon and you messages, and make sure your recovery is going good. I recommend you check with your surgeon first. Regards Dr. Israel Mañon Certified Plastic Surgeon
It is very unlikely that a drain would break when being pulled out. Your surgeon can help answer this question and if there is any suspicion about a part of the drain being left inside, an X-ray can quickly solve the question.
