Hello,Thank you for your question. Prices are variable for each clinic. You are a good candidate for an ear surgery. In a Flap technique, which was developed by me, for correcting prominent ears, which prevents all known complications, the sutures are used to fold the ear cartilage back. As I use absorbable sutures, suture extrusion after the surgery is out of question. I flatten the ears backwards with the flap tissue dehiscence and relapses after surgery is out of question as well. Ear pinning is cosmetic, will not be covered by insurance, and may cost $3000 on the low end for one ear with local anesthesia. Costs around Atlanta for both ears could be as high as $6K. Be sure to select a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials (certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, education, training, experience, favorable patient reviews, before and after photos on his/her website) to perform your surgery.
Ears tend to protrude for one of two reasons: 1. the "bowl" of the ear is rotated to far outwards or, 2. the fold inside the outer rim of the ear is weak or missing. These are both easily corrected problem and can be done under local anesthesia in an office setting. They can be corrected via an incision behind the ear. In the case of re-creating the fold inside the rim, our office performs a procedure that requires no incisions at all. I would recommend that you schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can examine you in person and review your options with you. As for price, this will vary from doctor to doctor depending upon what needs to be done.
This is an outpatient cosmetic procedure that costs around $4000.A board certified plastic surgeon will be svle to help you fully understand the procedure at you consult. Best of luck.
There are many variables that go into pricing for an otoplasty procedure. Are you looking to have 1 ear done or both ears done? Do you want to be put to sleep under general anesthesia or local anesthesia, since there is a price differential.
This is a difficult question to answer, because price will depend upon the extent of surgery that needs to be done, what type of anesthesia is used, and the area in which you live. If I had to give you a ball park price, you should be prepared to pay between 5-10k, with the price likely falling somewhere in between.Seek consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience in ear reconstruction.Good luck!
Based on your photos, you are an excellent candidate for an otoplasty. The surgical fees vary depending on the amount of work being done. You can expect to pay anywhere from $2900 to $4000 for a surgeon's fee. You will have an outpatient fee for @ 1.5 hours of operating room time and also anesthesia fee. Consult with a highly experienced board certified plastic surgeon for an in person evaluation.
