Will fat transferred to buttocks during butt augmentation get reabsorbed if I sit normally?

Hi, I am a 32-year-old male. I had a butt augmentation 1.8 years ago. The surgery involved transferring fat from my belly to my buttocks. The fat seems to have settled now, but I am being very cautious. I rarely sit in a way that puts direct pressure on the buttocks region because I think the settled fat will get reabsorbed and will eventually cause a reduction in the volume of my buttocks. I would like to know if the fat will get reabsorbed if I start to sit normally.

One year  after surgery is considerd to be time for fat grafts take and maturation. After that time grafts are stable and no pressure under normal circumstances will cause volume loss. Hope this helps.

Most plastic surgeons, recommend patience sit on a BBL pillow for a short while after the procedure. The amount of time recommended to protect the Grafton fat varies from provider to provider. We usually have people take precautions for about three weeks.
There’s no scientific evidence that avoiding setting changes the aesthetic outcome from the procedure. When sitting most of the pressure is put on the back of the thigh rather than the buttocks themselves.
In 1.8 years, your results have been final for a long time and are not going to be impacted by sitting.
