I have always had slightly uneven butt cheeks, but I think with time they have worsened. The left looks good while my right butt cheek looks slighly less toned and has what i think is a banana roll. I have a light scoliosis and light flat feet but that’s it. Not sure why this happened and if it’s possibile to change this with or without surgery.

Answer: Beautiful buttocks Dear Caring, Your buttocks are beautiful! Your scoliosis is visible just from these photos and is probably contributing to the mild asymmetries that you have. However...I repeat, your buttocks are beautiful! Leave them alone and enjoy what you have!

Answer: Body asymmetry The human body is not symmetrical in any way. The face is asymmetrical, and so is the rest of the body. All internal organs are placed asymmetrically. People are typically right, handed or left handed. Most asymmetry comes from bone structure, whether in the face where each side of the face develops independently during embryological development, eventually fusing in the midline. Your degree of asymmetry is very much within the norm and is not unusual. Because asymmetry is primarily related to bone structure, which should generally not be treated surgically or nonsurgically. Even traditional, classic artists have incorporated asymmetry into classic works of art because they understood that asymmetry is the norm. The concept that the human body is symmetrical is false. If you start looking at other peoples bodies and faces in a Critical Way,, you too can learn to recognize that everybody has a significant degree of asymmetry, and there are no symmetrical people. I suggest accepting your body the way it is and not attempting to treat normal asymmetry. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
