Chin Implant or Neck Lift? (Photo)

A chin implant is likely to yield the results you are looking for. You do not have excess submental skin or fat, therefore chin liposuction or a neck lift would not be indicated. Overall the chin implant will give you more projection and a better profile.

When I evaluate the lower face and neck both soft tissue and bony components are evaluated. I often obtain a CBCT (cone beam CT Scan) in my office to evaluate the underlying boney anatomy for asymmetry and perform a basic orthognathic assessment of the chins relationship to the rest of the facial skeleton.
If these photos are after chin filler, that distorts my overall assessment of the ara, but in the photos above, the chin looks to be in an appropriate AP (anterior-posterior) position. Regarding the soft tissues, it appears you have a little fullness to the submental area and this could be due to superficial fat, which could be treated with liposuction. If after assessment with your surgeon the excess is deemed to be deeper (under the platysma) then this would need to be addressed with a deep neck lift. This procedure removes deep fat and in some cases contouring to the digastric muscles and even the submandibular glands.

From the photos it appears you may be able to address the fullness under your chin with less aggressive, less invasive options than a neck lift. If the contour is related to a fatty pocket then liposuction should improve it. If it is some fullness with skin laxity you may be a candidate for Morpheus8.
