Can I apply icepack to my throat for soreness and swelling?

I had a cool sculpting procedure yesterday on my throat (double chin). We had to stop the session because of a thermal event, at 44 min. I am somewhat swollen and sore, not to discomfort though. I also have a big hickie.

massage, radiofrequency treatments, tylenol can all help post procedural pain and swelling with coolsculpting.  sometimes neurontin helps.  Best, Dr. Emer.

It would not be a problem to use an ice pack on and off around your neck after your CoolSculpting procedure.  It could help to reduce your swelling.

Hi,With the Coolmini for the double chin, there is minimal downtime because it is done on a lower vacuum.  If you have some tenderness, it is best addressed with a ibuprofen, aleeve, or motrin.Warmly,Dr. Liu

You can definitely apply ice on and off to the area under your chin to help with the discomfort after coolsculpting. The bruising will and should resolve itself in the coming week. If you do not feel the ice is enough for your pain, you may consult your Coolsculpting provider for other options to relieve the discomfort. Best of luck.
