Question

In January I had a chin implant, mandible implants, and facial contouring done. I was born with Pierre Robin so I was seeking something to help give me somewhat of a jawline. But now I’m feeling like I look terrible. And I’m not sure if it’s just the “post operative depression” and I need time to adjust to the changes. Or if I should consider having the implants removed. I feel like the mandible implants don’t taper well into the chin implant, and casts odd shadows on my face.

Hello ! Thank you for your question to be honest your face its beautiful but the chin,but the chin implant volume is not suitable for the facel recommend you revision chin implant after the implant is removed, we will clean the area and wait for it to heal, we can use the jaw line filling to make more jaw filler

I agree that the implants are too large for your face, and that they do not taper well into the chin. You can see the indentation where they are placed, and your profile now appears more masculine. I do think that you have a nice natural jawline to begin with, but your chin was a little bit recessed. I would suggest you do some research on a genioplasty. This would create the prominence in your chin, and elongate your jawline, all without the need for implants. Jawline contouring is also commonly seen with a genioplasty, although you may get the desired results without it.

You did not have Pierre Robin, which is a severe congenital anomaly. However, the main issues relate to the 'strength' of the lower jaw versus the middle face/cheek area. The labiomental fold was slightly deep originally and implants will significantly deepen it; and the shape of the chin was naturally contoured whereas the implant shape is less ideal presently. Talk to the surgeon about the changes and possible improvements.
