I am only 52 -I have major sun damage on my arms. One part of my arms in particular that is just bothering me is where my upper arm meets my elbow. The skin is deeply wrinkled and the skin is loose... what sort of procedure/ surgeon can help me with the odd area?

Hello imaginative236791, thank you for your questions regarding ugly arm wrinkles on the upper arm where it meets your elbow. Thank you also for including your picture. As you have determined this is due to sun damage on your arm. This is resulted in skin and collagen damage resulting in wrinkles around the elbow. Arm issues can typically be boiled down to three anatomic problems: skin, fat, or muscle. It is rarely a muscle problem and that is not your arm problem. If it is a fat problem, plastic surgeons perform arm liposuction; that is not your arm problem. Your problem is our arm skin. To remove arm skin, an incision must be made. This can be made around the elbow. I do not believe chemical peels, creams, lasers or Morpheus8 will improve the skin in this area. In my opinion, the arm skin needs to be removed. I specialize in arm lifts. I hope that I have answered your questions regarding the arm reduction. If you have any more questions regarding the arm lift, arm reduction, brachioplasty or arm crease fat grafting, please contact my office. Since a brachioplasty or arm lift surgery is a difficult procedure, please seek an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon with significant experience performing these types of arm lifts. Do your research. Make sure your chosen plastic surgeon has performed at least 100 arm lifts. Make sure they have the before and after pictures to prove it.
