Yes - the eyelid surgery can be done at the same time as tear duct cauterization. We usually do the cauterization in someone who has a very dry eye. Elevating the lid may aggravate that. So I would recommend you do the cautery first. See how your dry eye is after that. If you still have a very dry eye, may not want to lift the lids.
