Hi doctor I had nose surgery last year in my country Thailand. It's almost 8months. I thought my nose gonna be pierce out and my nose tip became red too. So I want to know the average that include anything to remove silicone off or I should reshape again? Thank you

It appears that your implant is too large (long) and possibly infected. Removal of the implant may be mandatory for both reasons.Considering surgery after implant removal there are two options; cartilage rib graft (cadaver or your own) or new, smaller implant. If you have infection you should wait 3-6 months before proceeding with next surgery. Beside augmentation you will also benefit of tip and collumela refinements.Please consult an experienced plastic/rhinoplasty surgeon in your area for detailed evaluation and discuss your options. Silicone nasal bridge implant can erode through and can be infected.It is very important to make the proper diagnosis. Either way the implant needs to be removed. If cultures show infection then treat infection and about three months later consider cartilage graft.get a consultation by a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in removing the silicone nasal bridge implant and the capsule .

If you are having redness then you should consider having the nasal silicone implant removed. After the implant is removed, simultaneous reconstruction with your own cartilage can be done to rebuild the nose. Cost will be determined by the extent of the surgery. You should be examined because you may have an infection surrounding the implant. You are another example of the reason I avod silicone implants which have an increased risk of infection, movement, or extrusion. I prefer using cartilage grafts to augment the bridge n Asian patients, which you can do after removal of the implant. Cost will depend what needs to be done; this can be determined after examination.
