I am interested in an ultherapy treatment but have existing fillers such as juvederm and voluma. Will an ultherapy treatment have an affect on this? Well they be unchanged or wok they dissolve?
Answer: Ulthera and fillers Ultherapy is not used over the areas of these fillers and will not interfere with them. It is used on jawline, under chin, neck, temples and lateral cheeks. Combining ulthera with other treatments, such as fillers, is recommended to enhance the patient’s outcome and overall result. That being said, we recommend waiting 2 weeks between fillers and Ulthera to allow for proper settling.

Answer: Ultherapy with existing filler It is possible that the heat from the Ultherapy could accelerate the decomposition of the fillers a little bit. For the most part the areas treated by Ultherarpy and at the depths where the heat is being applied do not overlap the most common placements of filler. The Ultherapy is generally going to be done on the lower face, neck, and decolletage. Where most filler will be in the midface and lips. I have treated many patients with Ultherapy after they had already had filler injected and have yet to have a patient lose all of the volume from there filler or anything else drastic like that.Best of luck,

Answer: There is no evidence that Ultherapy hurts dermal fillers Ultherapy can tighten facial features, by delivering focused deep ultrasound energy to the dermis and connective tissues. But the energy might penetrate through certain fillers placed in the dermis prior to the Ultherapy treatment. There is no clinical evidence that the Ultherapy treatment will ruin the longevity of the fillers placed in the dermis prior to the Ultherapy treatment. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice. Answer: Ultherapy and Fillers Ultherapy doesn't negatively affect the facial fillers, in some instances it can help the fillers give more lift and collagen production (Sculptra). Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: What to know about Ultherapy and fillers Ultherapy is a noninvasive skin lifting technology, fillers add volume, so in general they work well together because each addresses a different aspect of facial aging. However, it is possible that Ultherapy directly over fillers could have an effect, though this has not been studied specifically. Most of the time the areas needing volume with dermal fillers are not the same as where the Ultherapy would be applied.
