Age 41, 36D, would areola reduction without lift improve the look? (Photos)

Question

I'm 41 and my splayed breasts have never been perky, but my very large areola has always made me self conscious. Would an areola reduction alone improve the look? I'm not looking for perfect breasts or dramatic change, just improvement. I'm a 36D and would not like my breasts any bigger.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would need breast lift to improve the shape. Areola reduction will not improve sagging. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

From your photos it appears you would have the best outcome from a standard lift.  Reducing the areola would not provide much improvement and they could restretch due to the tension on the incisions.  I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation to learn more.

No, you need a lift to decrease the stretch on your areolae, or they will just stretch out again. The lift will need to be at least the vertical or lollipop lift,

A full breast lift is your best option and includes areolar reduction. It does not make you bigger and in some cases it can keep all you have if desires (this is called auto-augmentation lift and is on my website at randcosmeticsurgery.com)
