At 6 months, enough healing has occurred that tissue is fairly stable. This is also the time that a revision can be done if needed.

You should see immediate improvement in areola size after surgery.  The tissues will need time to settle and you should be able to see final results about six months after surgery.  If a revision is desired it is best to wait 9-12 months after surgery unless indicated by your surgeon.
