I am a 27 year old female with very saggy skin and severe nasolabial folds. I have never been overweight. I have worn SPF 50 sunscreen daily since 19 and use been using tretinoin and a moisturizer every night for a few years. I don't drink or smoke, am active, and I eat a plant-based diet, but I have eaten sugary foods in the past, so I assume that is the cause. Could I be a good candidate for a facelift or midface lift? I've had a lip lift 6 months ago + revision 3 months ago for my very long philtrum (since childhood).
Answer: Facial Aging Concern at 27. Your photos clearly illustrate your concerns, and it's evident that you're attractive with no signs of facial skin laxity. However, there's a noticeable loss of facial volume, particularly in the mid-face region. A straightforward solution would involve non-surgical filler injections. You might be amazed by the transformative effect that one or two precisely placed syringes of filler can have in restoring shape and volume to your face. Additionally, you're an excellent candidate for surgical facial volume augmentation, such as fat grafting. This method offers a more permanent solution, and I recommend researching a specialist in your area who frequently performs this procedure. You're likely to be disappointed with any skin tightening procedure, whether non-surgical or surgical. This applies to you because your concern isn't actual skin laxity but rather deflation of skin with excellent tone. The solution to deflation lies in adding volume, not tightening. Dr. B.

Answer: Time for a facelift? Thanks for the question with photographs. Your facial aesthetics are in a much better place than you think. You are also doing all of the correct skin care and health habits. You are currently too early for facelift work. To continue looking your best and defying time, it is a good idea to being aggressive skin work to boost collagen and promote a healthy dermal layer. Things like Lasers, RF microneedling, regular botox treatment to forehead and crows feet are all a good idea to start at any time.

Answer: Facial laxity and NLF in Young patient Hello, A patient’s age is not the main determining factor for deciding on a facelift, but it is certainly a factor to take into consideration. The reason is that with time and age, facial laxity will eventually reoccur and additional procedures will need to be done. This can 10 or 20 years down the line, but it should be taken into consideration. You also do not want the treatment to be out of proportion to the results. Based on your photos, a surgical lift would NOT be my first choice for your face. Due to the fact that you are younger, your results with alternative treatments would actually better than those in older patients with the same level of laxity. In cases like yours, I have been able to achieve good results with properly executed treatments like Morpheus8 (or other RF microneedling) and Acutite (or other similar energy devices). With younger more collagen-rich skin and robust healing, the results tend to be better for those in similar situations. If used properly, Morpheus can help shrink the nasolabial fat pad and tighten the surrounding skin, especially along the lower face. It is important to avoid using the same setting on other parts of the face in order to preserve fullness. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Answer: Facelift at .27 You would not benefit from any type of facelift at this point of your life. I’m sure you could find a surgeon to do it, but i advise against it. Total waste of money

Answer: Volume addition, possibly lower bleph It does not look that any type of lift would change your cheek/periorbital areas; definitely not NLF. It is possible that small volume increase by means of filler or fat grafts would create improvement. Transconjuctival lower blepharoplasty may be the way to address tear through? In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussion about your goals and options would help. Good luck.
