3 months post w/ fillers. I woke up feeling bruised and swollen at the bridge of my nose. Is this normal?

I’ve had fillers done in my nose about 3 months ago, I have had them done multiple times although today I had woken up and I feel like I’m bruised and swollen at the bridge of my nose. Just wondering if this is normal ? I was a bit sick yesterday with gastro and not sure if this has anything to do with it. It’s concerning.

At this point, this isn't common to experience swelling 3 months after your treatment. I suggest speaking with your injector. The filler may need to be dissolved. Hope this helps.

Since HA fillers hold on to water, if you had a bit of a gastroenterologic illness, it's possible that you could have been retaining fluid and you could see some temporary swelling around your previously placed nasal filler. No, this isn't typical. I recommend following up with your injector. If necessary, the filler can be reversed with hyaluronidase. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. Please review your recovery with your medical team and board certified facial plastic surgeon because it is rare to experience swelling from fillers at the 3 month mark. It would be helpful to see before and after photos too.
