Can I fix my overjet and bring lower jaw forward without surgery? Can it be fixed with Invisalign? (photos)

Question

Attached are a few photos of my nature lower jaw and and bite of my teeth (Over Jet). My back teeth do align perfectly and I do not have a problem with my jaw, I just don't like the look of it pushed back. Also a few photos in the same position but I am sticking my bottom jaw forward to correct it. My question is can I fix this Over Jet and bring my lower jaw forward without surgery? I do have 8 top Veneers so braces may not be an option but how about invisialigne?? Thank you for your time!

It does appear that your lower jaw is slightly shorter that would be considered "perfect" for your upper.  Your teeth have compensated for this so they "fit perfectly" in back.

Neither braces or invisalign will change your jaw position.  Both braces and invisalign move teeth only,  in cases where there is overbite because of an underlying jaw size problem, we move the teeth to reduce the overbite, in effect, we "camouflage" the underlying jaw imbalance.

To change your jaw size, surgery is the only option.  If you change your jaw size, your perfect bite will no longer work, thus braces will be needed (before undergoing the surgery) to rearrange your teeth to fit perfectly with your new jaw alignment.  Either invisalign or Braces can be used to do this.

Note:  This is different than what we can do with growing children.  Upper and lower jaws grow different amounts and at different times.  In children with underlying jaw imbalances, we can change the position of the jaws using braces (which move the teeth) in conjunction with rubber bands, springs, headgear and other "auxiliary force systems" that hook on to the braces and can have effects on the jaws.  Yes, these "auxiliaries"  move teeth but because children's jaws are growing and changing, all of these things have effects on BOTH the teeth and the jaws.  In adults who's jaws are done growing, rubber bands, springs, etc only effect the teeth.
