I still have sagging arm skin. I was really surprised that more had not been taken off. It also left me with a round "poof" at the edge of both of my elbows. It swells up and becomes painful during exercise. At my post op appointments I asked my surgeon about it and they said it would go down with time. It never did. Is this the best result or can either of these issues be fixed? Will I need to redo the entire arm lift or are there alternatives?
Answer: Arm lift brachioplasty arm reduction arm liposuction flabby arms post op arm lift California Los Angeles excess arm skin arm fat Hello Dany33, thank you for your question regarding a possible arm lift revision. Thank you for your arm surgery history and post-op brachioplasty photos. Based on only several photos, I think you could get a better result with an arm lift or brachioplasty revision. During this arm revision surgery, you would need both arm liposuction and an arm incision. However, I do not think you need to redo the entire arm lift. I think liposuction should be done above and below the arm crease you circled. Additionally, I think some fat grafting into the crease would be a good idea. In addition, an elliptical area of above elbow skin and fat will have to be removed around the elbow. This will be along your prior arm lift incision.I hope this answers your questions regarding an arm lift revision. If you have any more questions regarding the arm lift, arm reduction, brachioplasty or arm crease fat grafting, please contact my office. Since your arm lift case is special and requires a revision, which is more difficult than an initial arm lift, please seek an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon with significant experience performing these types of arm lifts. Do your research. Make sure your chosen plastic surgeon has performed at least 100 arm lifts. Make sure they have the before and after pictures to prove it. Carefully examine their before and after pictures and check their reviews on RealSelf. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Is it possible to fix the problems with this arm lift and get a better result? (Photos) BodyTite does not remove any fat, but it tightens tissue. It can be combined with liposuction to improve contours dramatically. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who has a lot of experience with this modality. Answer: Arm lift Thank you for your question. After reviewing your excellent photos, I believe that overall, you have a good result from your surgery. Your concern regarding the "poof" of tissue at the elbow can be addressed, but it probably will require an additional procedure including some limited lipo contouring and extension of the incision. I recommend that you return to your plastic surgeon to voice your concerns.

Answer: Problems with arm lift Hello and thank you for your question. As stated previously, it looks like liposuction would help get rid of that accumulated fat. You look like you are doing a great job losing weight, but that arm fat is hard to deal with. Please consult with your surgeon so they can advise you on your options.

Answer: Revision Arm Lift Surgery Hello, and thank you for your question. (Keep in mind that an in-person consultation is necessary for the best advice.) Based on your photos, you appear to have residual skin excess and a dog ear near the elbow. This is not uncommon after arm lifts in patients who have had massive weight loss. Revision surgery is appropriate but will likely result in a longer scar. If you decide to pursue surgery it’s very important that you find a surgeon whom you are comfortable with and trust and who evaluates you in-person and tailors an individualized treatment plan for you and your aesthetic goals. Best of luck! Matthew A. DelMauro, M.D.
