It's been 4 days since my breast augmentation, I started feeling better but now I feel even worse. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your question. I would recommend following up with your surgeon if you are feeling like you are taking a turn for the worse.  It is much more common to feel slightly better with each day that passes.

It is a little confusing why you are taking antibiotics post-operatively.  Generally, only a single dose at the time of surgery is administered.  One of the reasons for this is that the side effects of antibiotics can cause stomach upset or intestinal infections.  Not that I am diagnosing you over the internet!Contact your surgeon right away for further management .  Your symptoms could be "normal" or could represent any number of problems.  Best of luck?

Thank you for your question and I am sorry that you have taken a step back in your healing.  Though taking a baby step backward is not uncommon, this sounds like a fairly dramatic change in your recovery.  I would recommend you make an appointment to see your surgeon for an evaluation to ensure that you are healing appropriately, that there are no issues, and to diagnose what may be causing you to feel so poorly. Oftentimes these are side effects of pain medication, but best to get checked out.  In the meantime stay well-hydrated and rest.  Hope you feel better shortly.

Thank you for your question.  It is not unusual to have a few ups and downs in the early recovery period.  Taking antibiotics without good food intake can make any G.I. upset worse.  Attempt to drink plenty of fluids and contact your physician with your symptoms.

It's not unusual for you to feel this way, what is important is to get to the bottom of what's making you feel this way.  It could be the antibiotic, it could be an infection, maybe it's just how your body reacts.  Call your surgeon, he needs to be aware of what's going on so he knows how to best help you.I wouldn't worry, but get in to see your surgeon.  Good luck to you.

I think you were correct in stopping your pain meds (except for Tylenol) to treat your problem.  If it persists, then it may well be your antibiotic, and I would stop that, too.  Of course, above all, you should consult your surgeon about this.
