How much is the PRP procedure for hair loss and how often should the treatments be done?

The cost for PRP treatments for hair loss will range widely thru out the country from $ 600 to $ 1000 per treamtnt.  The following factors come into play.1.  Geographic region:  NYC and LA are going to be more expensive. 2.  What type of PRP is used.  Not all PRP is the same.  For optiomal results, PRP concentration of 4 to 6 times baseline is required.  The higher concentration PRP will cost more and be more effective.3.  How many treatments you will need to obtain results and how often you will have to maintain it.  Most patients will require a minimum of 3 treatments spaced 1 month apart.  If there isn't any change after 2 treatments I don't recommend continuing as this isnt effective for everyone.  Most will need to have repeat treamtents 1 to 3 times per year with avergage being every 6 months. If you are a candidate for hair transplant and are open to surgery, hair transplation will consistently give you optimal long lasting results.

We generally recommend at least three treatments spaced ~1 month apart. Obviously, the larger area needed to be treated will require more treatments.  The cost of a PRP injection session will depend on various factors including region, provider costs, provider experience, and amount of PRP prepared. 

The cost of PRP depends on several factors such as reputation of the provider, training and credentials of the provider, type of PRP used (want to make sure it is high concentration), geographic areas, and experience.  On average, high concentration PRP runs anywhere from $800-1200 per session.  

The cost of PRP for hair loss varies from region to region and from Dr’s office to Dr’s office. Some Offices charge very low prices because the centrifuge and the kits they use are not FDA cleared and are not effective.At least 3 to 4 treatments a month apart is suggested.

I typically recommend a series of 3 injections spaced one month apart followed by a maintenance injection session every 6 to 12 months after the initial series. This seems to work well for most patients.

The prices for PRP Hair treatments vary widely.  In the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio there are two medispas and a hair restoration business that charge a minimum of $1500/treatment.  There is also a plastic surgeon who charges $5000 for what is purported to be a single treatment regimen.  I am unable to tell you what brand of PRP system is used by these providers and that may be the single most important variable when it comes to cost. At Dr. Laurel's PRP Bar the intention is to make PRP Hair regeneration affordable and the cost for treatment with Eclipse PRP (22 ml tube) is $750/treatment with a 20% discount should the patient purchase a complete series at the time of initial treatment.  You should seriously consider getting pricing information from a variety of providers taking care to inquire about the PRP method being used to be certain the facility is using an FDA approved harvesting method.

PRP procedure can cost a thousand dollars or more per treatment and will require several treatments.  You would need to see a doctor for a proper exam before considering treatment options.
