I appreciate your question. It can take 6-9 months before you see the full results. Some see results in as little as a few months with smaller sparse hairs.Combining with neograft about 3 months before would be a great way to help with graft takeThe best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery.best of luck!Dr Schwartz
Good question. Most patients should begin to notice results within 4-6 months of initiating treatment. I recommend 4 treatments spaced every 4-6 weeks and then a booster treatment every 6 months.
I tell patients that results may take 6 months to become evident. My typical protocol is 3 sessions spaced one month apart, followed by maintenance sessions every 6 months. Any treatment for hair loss is going to take a minimum of 6 months to really become evident as hair growth is slow. All the best,
PRP has nothing to do with the results of a hair transplant. If the surgery went well, it just takes time for the transplanted hairs to grow out. If your doctor recommended PRP then follow up with your doctor. We have offered PRP after hair transplant surgery for over two years and didn't see its benefit (post transplant).
It takes at least 6 months (6 treatments) and I combine with progesterone to speed the process. After that if you are seeing improvement, I cut the treatments down to every 6-8 weeks to maintain. Best, Dr. Emer.

I sometimes see some hair growth after second and definitely after the third treatment. I recommend monthly sessions for PRP hair restoration for the first five months, followed by a single treatment every 6 months to maintain the new hair. I have had great success with this protocol in both male and female patients.
If a hair follicle is in fact “dead”, then PRP will not provide any benefit. However according to research (see below references) and clinical evidence, PRP is effective in stimulating hair restoration. PRP is very rich in growth-factors that will stimulate dormant hair to regrown. This is ...
Hello, Yes, prp is good when you get it done very 2-3 months within a year. 1 session will not do much
Generally cosmetic surgeons charge for consultations. This is considered normal in the business. Some may offer complimentary consultations depending on the situation. Some may apply the consultation to the few thousand dollars worth of treatment.
In the scientific literature, PRP success rates vary, as do the definitions of success. PRP is a great option for many patients, but it is not going to put hair follicles into the scalp where no follicles remain. I believe that PRP can help to slow or reverse the process of hair miniaturization...
Hair loss after PRP injections is most likely secondary to continued progression of androgenetic alopecia or male-pattern baldness. While PRP injections could theoretically cause a shock to the hairs resulting in loss, such as the shock loss that occasionally occurs with a hair transplant p...
Thank you for your question. You’re 60-years-old and I understand that you have a 16-year history of female pattern hair loss. You’d like to start PRP treatments, and you want to know if you can stop Rogaine after starting with PRP.I work a great deal with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) for hair los...
