Congratulations on your surgery. It will be about 6 months or so before you can really assess your results and outcome. The vertical mastopexy is a great procedure as I use it frequently. In certain cases it is better to deviate away from the vertical and perform a full mastopexy, where there is also an incision in the breast tuck (fold). The extra incision helps shorten the nipple to crease distance and remove the extra skin in the tuck.See how things look later on and you might need a small revision later, you may not. Continue with your follow ups and see what things look like in a couple of months.Hope that helps.
Thank you for your question. Typical results after breast lift surgery can take approximately 1 year to become final. It is certainly possible that your results will improve with time. If you still have concerns in a few more months, it is best if you discuss these with your surgeon.
Thank you for your question. It takes approximately 6 months before you start to see the final result where the breasts start to form more of a shape. The scars can take about 12-18 months for the redness to settle. You can help by applying bio or rose oil. Do make regular follow up appointments with your surgeon. All The Best
Every patient goes through the healing process differently. Breast Lift (Mastopexy) surgery 4 months post op is too early to determine any results. Patience is necessary for the body to heal and let tissues settle to where they need to be. Usually around 6 months post op patients can start to see final results. Continue follow up visits with your plastic surgeon and follow their post operative instructions.
Dear jjjjj555,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast lift surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
You are still fairly early in your healing, and more of the ripples should slowly go away. You can do gentle massage and give it time.
Dear JJ,Hello and thank you for your excellent question. What you are seeing is typical of the technique used to lift your breasts, but it can be improved. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck! No, the doughnut lift will not work for you, even if your skin was normal. I suggest going smaller and doing the vertical lift. You will still probably stretch over time, but being smaller will have less stretching.
If you got implants with your lift, then yes, the hardness is from the implants and will slowly settle. If you did not have a lift, you might need to see your surgeon to be certain you do not have a blood clot.
No, the doughnut lift will not able a good option for you because of the sagging. Plus, the implant should be placed behind the muscle for better support and upper breast fullness. This is too painful to do under local anesthesia.
