What are my breast lift options after 45lb weight loss with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome hypermobility? (Photos)

I have performed The Bellesoma Method on patients with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  This technique will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief and long term stability.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained.  Nipple sloughing is extremely rare with this technique since this is a central pedicle technique and there is no undermining of the nipple-areola complex.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D. 
 

Dear ecc9713,my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. No, the doughnut lift will not work for you, even if your skin was normal. I suggest going smaller and doing the vertical lift. You will still probably stretch over time, but being smaller will have less stretching.

Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get a breast lift with implants, this is because your chest looks a bit saggy and the implants will definitely help you fill the superior pole of your breast giving you an excellent and beautiful shape.

Before all this, of course, you need to get a complete medical evaluation and laboratory exams to check everything is fine. Also please try to find a board certified plastic surgeon, remember that your safety, always, is going to be first.

Dear Ecc,Hello and thank you for your excellent question.  You should be evaluated for a No-Vertical-Scar breast lift technique. There are a number of no-vertical scar breast lift techniques, but my preferred technique is the Bellesoma Breast Lift technique. It does not disturb the nipple, areola, or breast glands, so sensation and the ability to lactate is preserved. It uses 3D scanning of your breasts and body to design a procedure specifically designed for YOU, and you alone. Finally, for patients who desire breast enlargement, it can be combined with fat grafting. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable.
