Hello, I had an anchor lift August 2017. Current measurements are 19cm from sternal notch to R nipple, 20 cm to L nipple, 8 cm from base to nipple on both breast. Can I do a revision lift? or is there concern for vascular issues? How long is recommended to wait, its been 1 year and 3 months now. The surgeon who did the surgery stated its best to leave them how they are d/t vascular concern. I am just seeking a second opinion to become more educated. Thank you.
Answer: The Bellesoma revision of anchor lift Anchor lifts are notorious for a poor result with vertical scars, loss of nipple sensation, the inability to breast feed and bottoming out when combined with implants. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs but it is possible to do a revision using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided and fat transfer can be performed. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast Revision Surgery Hi KeepHeadUp, Breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras. If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Also, you may need to wait until after 6 months when your implants have completely dropped and fluffed into their final position. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Timing for breast lift revision Thanks for your question. It is not clear from your question what you are unhappy with and wish to revise, but from a timing standpoint, you should be fine to have a revision, whether its a modification of you nipple areola position, or your scars.

Answer: Revision breast lift Thanks for your question. With regards to the timing of a revision, it totally depends on what will be involved in that revision. That being said, it is my opinion that at a year out, you should be sufficiently healed and settled to proceed with any needed revision. From your question, however, it appears that you and your surgeon have a different opinion on whether or not a revision is actually needed. I recommend that you get a second opinion from another board certified plastic surgeon to see if they agree that a revision is necessary.
