I am going to get liposuction done in my upper and lower abdominal area next month. Would it be safe to take ecstasy?

A week after the procedure, I am going to a concert. Would it be ok for me to roll/take ecstasy? Would it affect my healing process?

It is never safe to take ecstasy.  Period.  Please advise your plastic surgeon of your decision so they can decide if/how to proceed with your surgery.

This is a rediculous question to ask a physician and ethically they should never say you could take any drugs after a procedure or ever.  In reality, people will do what they want despite what is good or bad for them.  And this drug will not effect your outcome after liposuction if the proceudre goes well and is performed by a very well trained meticulous surgeon.  If you do something stupid on the drug then it cannot be guaranteed your ultimate results which take 3-6 months.  My patients start gym 7 days after liposuction with personal trainers and nutritionist to get the best results.  They are strictly told to lead a healthy active lifestyle and not do any drugs or drinking.  What a person chooses to do on their own to their body, cannot be controlled by their physician unfortunately.  Best, Dr. Emer.
