Can I use Retinol serum and Vitamin C serum after Botox and Juvederm?

Hello,I did Botox and juvederm filler 7 days ago and I can see great results ,my question is can I still use my Retinol serum at night and vitamin C serum in the morning with the rest of my daily and nightly skin care regimen?

You can absolutely use your retinol and Vitamin C serums after Botox and Juvederm. Refrain from massaging the face for about 24 hours after Botox, but lightly rubbing in medical-grade skincare products should be fine. You need to take excellent care of your skin to reap the full benefits of hyaluronic-acid based fillers and neuromodulators. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who can help you learn about all the different ways you can improve your skin and slow down your aging process

I generally recommend waiting at least 3 days after the Botox and Juvederm before using Vitamin C and Retinol products so at this point it would be okay to resume your products.

You don’t need to worry about any interactions between your injectable therapies and topical therapies. They are working on different levels of your skin. The only caveat is that your skin may feel sore or swollen after your injections and you might find that the Retinol and/or Vitamin C irritates it somewhat. If you have sensitive skin, I’d wait a day or two before returning to your normal skin-care routine. A board-certified dermatologist will give you the best results for your injectable treatments.

It is best not to heavily rub the area of your Botox or filler injections for the first 24 hours. Gently putting on your skin products after 4 hours post botox or juvaderm is safe. Both retinol and vitamin C will not interfere with either products.

Absolutely they can be used.  One key factor I advise my patients on is to not over rub or massage areas where filler or wrinkle blocker injections (e.g., Botox, Xeomin, Dysport) have been placed to avoid moving the product.  The filler generally should never be over massaged once it is in place, but if its just a wrinkle blocker injected then after a day or so its fine to massage or rub these areas.  High grade cosmeceuticals (e.g., SkinCeuticals) are designed to be used in before and after procedures to help optimize and maintain results.  When in doubt always check with your qualified injector about these concerns who knows your situation best.  Retinol and Vit C are great for your skin.  Best regards.
