Voluma lasts up to 2 years, Perlane up to 1 year. Also, Voluma lifts more than Perlane, due to the way the molecules are cross linked, which makes for a better cheek filler, in my opinion.
They are very different, last different amounts of time all because of the cross-linking technology. However, they both have lifting capacity, so they theoretically could be used for similar functions but perlane may not last as long in some people.
