Neck lift and lower face lift first or cosmetic dentistry?

Thank you for your question. Since the two different procedures should not affect each other, it would be your preference as to which to do first. If you do the dental work first, I recommend waiting for enough time for proper healing and assurance of lack of infection. I hope this helps!

Timing is really up to you.  I would encourage you to schedule consultations with board certified surgeons first and then determine which procedure will work best for you to do first.

It depends on the kind of cosmetic procedures you are considering. Your lack of teeth show may also improve with a lip lift as our upper lip gets longer and starts hanging like a courtain over the upper dentition. Only a physical examination will determine if this is the case in you.Otherwise, there is no preferred order of treatment for you. This is different in patients who are considering multiple dental implants which will impact the facial anatomy. Then it is advisable to have the dental reconstruction done first followed by the facelift.

It really doesn't matter that much whether you get a lower face/neck lift for $8800 on special or you get cosmetic dentistry done. Both are great procedures which usually make you feel better about your appearance. I would only recommend waiting for 2 weeks after a face/neck lift before doing dentistry since the dentists always are stretching open your mouth so wide and it could be alittle painful. If you do the dentistry 1st then you can do the facelift right away since if you are smart you will be doing it under local with a little IV sedation so there won't be any annoying tube down your throat to chip a veneer on. sincerely, david Hansen,md

It doesn't matter whether you have dental work or face and neck lift first.  They do not interfere with each other.

The order of the procedures really won't matter since neither procedure will affect the other procedure.  Your previous jaw surgery should also not have any effect on either procedure.

The answer is your decision but you have to decide which is more important to you and how much money you have to spend.  Dental work is very often more expensive than a face-lift.  Your face is how feel about yourself when you face the world.  For most people it is more important than how they look when they smile.  If the dental work is absolutely essential for medical reasons and therefore extremely urgent, you obviously would have to do it first.  The face-lift is for your pure pleasure feel self confident and have improved self esteem in your daily life.  There is no medical, scientific or plastic surgery reason why a facelift should go before the dental work or vice-versa.  Best regards, Dr. Edward O. Age 62, a lower face/neck lift is required to tighten up loose facial skin and muscles.  Cosmetic dentistry can be performed before or after a lower face neck lift.

A neck lift and lower facelift are very similar. In our practice we would encourage you to finish the dental work first. You may benefit from a chin implant but that could only be determined in person . Review each option separately and get second opinions if needed .
