Sculptra works well to stimulate collagen around the eyes. As a stimulatory filler, it is ideal as a volumetric filler for the cheek, eyelid-cheek junction, and lower eyelid skin. Care should be taken during injection to achieve maximum results. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian
Fillers like Belotero, Volbella, and Restylane Silk are good for improving under the eyes, but keep in mind that a combination approach will give the most improvement. My patients try to get non-surgical treatments to avoid surgery, so we use fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP and stem cells. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for you. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi lb2me. There is a big difference between the longest lasting and best filler under the eyes. You will find that most experienced injectors want a soft filler like Restylane, Belotero or Juvederm under the eyes. These products do not last as long as Radiesse, but they are much safer and look better under the eyes. For examples of Restylane injections under the eyes for our Los Angeles patients, check the link below.
As noted by theother doctors here, the most appropriate filler for the eye area may not be theone that lasts the longest, but does look the best. Under the eyes we usually recommendRestylane, Belotero, or Juvederm, as these are the softest of the fillers thatwe have. Make sure that the injector isskilled in these kinds of injections and preferably is or works with a boardcertified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. If you are having a CO2 laser procedure there is no hard and fast rulehere. Many would consider doing them atthe same time, but others would recommend that they work best if done 2 weeksbefore and some even 2 weeks after. Again, the skill level of the provider is most important.
In general, all fillers last longer under eyes since it is a less dynamic movement-oriented area than the lips or smile lines. Restylane® and Belotero® are the currently-favored fillers for this area, since their lower viscosity (thickness) causes less puffiness/swelling of delicate under eye skin.
I agree that in this are, longevity is not issue. The softness of the filler is the most important thing to consider, not the longevity.
When many people want filler "under the eyes" what they are actually referring to is the upper cheeks. If this is the case for you, then Voluma is an excellent filler. It is thick, soft, malleable, and in studies has been proven to last up to two years."This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient andcannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion. I never use Perlane in the eye troughs , are you positive that is what they used there? There is an enzyme that can be injected and will remove it. I would make and appointment with a nearby Plastic Surgery office who performs these procedures regularly.
Volbella, Restylane, and Juvederm are good fillers to use to create a symmetrical lip. NovaThreads can also be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. Technique will be important here, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. I recommend getting a formal evaluation...
Either specialist can perform your injections, as long as they are experienced and have a keen aesthetic eye for this type of treatment. Do some homework on your own, and ask to see results if they are available during your consultation. Good luck.
