I'll start by saying that all of the skin on my body has changed and become very loose and dull, but I understand only so much can be done so I'm opting to treat what's most visible first. There's a looseness to my neck as well as prominent horizontal banding along with the vertical, what really bothers me is the loose triangle of skin under my chin and around my jaw. Would filler and botox be an option? Would also contouring my jaw with filler help the appearance (small lower facial struct.)
Answer: The Nefertiti Lift Using Botox Helps Lift Minimally Loose Neck Skin The Nefertiti Lift, about which you can learn much more in the archives of RealSelf.com is an advanced use of Botox in which the neuromodulator is injected in microdroplets in a particular pattern within the neck and along the border of the jaw, such that it softens the activity of the downwardly pulling platysma muscle, an effect that secondarily imparts to the muscles higher up in the face the competitive advantage to pull the skin upward, thereby tightening the jawline and neck skin below. Tiny droplets of Botox along with filler may also be used to improve the horizontal necklace lines. And finally, the use of a skin boostering filler injected in a grid-like pattern around the triangle you complain of can help to lead to tightening of the skin via hydration and its biostimulatory effect in stimulating new, native collagen and elastic fiber synthesis. You would do well to seek consultation with a board certified aesthetic physician in whose hands all these procedures performed at one time should take no more than about fifteen minutes tops. Good luck to you.

Answer: Botox for the neck? Thank you for the question. I strongly discourage patients from placing botox into the neck. The proposed use of botox for the neck is to soften "platysmas bands" that seem stronger with animation or tenting the lower lip. This is not only dangerous, but highly ineffective. You are young and yes, you do have a little loose skin to the neck. I would not recommend anything for you except some minor procedures like Ultherapy or using a Nu-Face. These will improve your situation without any real time investment. Kybella is an injectable that has recently gotten FDA approval for submittal fat dissolution. You, of course, do not have much fat as can be seen from the pictures. I hope this helps. Make sure you consult with a double board certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon.

Answer: Under Chin Choices--Kybella, Thermage, VASER, ThermiRF, ultrasound Kybella would be a great choice for this area. Kybella takes a series of treatments to see improvement. Kybella works best in combination with other skin tightening treatments. Using it with thermage/ultherapy can help to tighten the skin under the chin. VASER/ThermiRF are also great options, if you're a candidate. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Loose Skin at 20 Thank you for your question. Botox works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle then can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. Some ways to help your loose skin in your neck include Botox, laser and Kybella. Botox can be placed in the vertical bands in the neck. You can have laser kin tightening treatments to help tighten the skin on the neck. Finally, you have Kybella done to address a double chin (submental fullness). You can discuss these options with your treating physician during your consultation. Best of Luck!

Answer: Loose skin versus excess fat tissue Thanks for sharing your photos. The key factor here is determining if the neck looseness that you describe is due to excess fat or skin "laxity". From your photos, it is more likely due to skin laxity. Ultrasound or radiotherapy-based skin tightening treatments might be helpful.
