How stable is PRP for hair loss?

Question

Can it regrow and add hair that was never there? I'm want only the top about front 1/2 to front. I'm unfortunate as I have male pattern and I'm female. Also, I'd essential oils really helpful for hair loss? No minoxidil please.

Essential oils aren't proven to help regrow hair. Prp can be used to regrow hair. It will take up to 6 months to see results. I combine it with progesterone to improve results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hair loss expert. Best, Dr. Emer

PRP is not going to generate hair follicles in an area of the scalp where no follicles exist, but it can strengthen the hairs that are present, reverse the miniaturization process, and improve the overall hair "mass" or density. I think that it also slows the progression of hair loss. It can be used in conjunction with hair transplant procedures, or other non-surgical treatments. I am not aware of any evidence to show that essential oils help with hair loss.
A consultation with a hair restoration surgeon can be helpful to review all the options in detail.

PRP will not grow hair in areas where there was never any hair-at best it will help to thicken "miniaturized" hairs (very thin hairs),but they actually have to be present.Based on your description you would probably benefit from hair transplantation.I would recommend consulting with an experienced Hair Restoration surgeon to explore your options.

PRP is a restorative regenerative treatment that improves the tissue it is injected into. In the hair restoration field, it shows great improvement in healing post procedure and can also be used annually (depending on the method used) to reverse the aging process of follicles.
